Radford University is thrilled to announce National Entrepreneurship Week with a series of events designed to foster innovation and highlight the entrepreneurial spirit of its students. This Spring, 2024 initiative underscores Radford's commitment to cultivating a vibrant entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.
National Entrepreneurship Week
Date and Time: Monday, February 12th – Friday, February 17th
Location: Various Locations - Venture Lab & Online
Details: Hosted by Radford University’s Venture Lab. Includes activities like a Speed Networking Social, Fireside Chat, Innovation Challenge Kickoff webinar, and a special social media campaign.
Participation: Open to students, highlighting student entrepreneurship.
Monday - Truist Innovation Challenge Kickoff Webinar Release
Date and Time: Monday, February 12th, 5 PM | Location: Recorded Online
Details: Online event to discuss the details of the innovation challenge.
Participation: Targeted at students interested in entrepreneurship across all programs of
study.. Students can learn about entrepreneurship without the pressure of launching until

Tuesday - JVG Ignite Competition & Innovation Breakfast
Date and Time: Tuesday, February 13th, 9 AM | Location: Venture Lab
Details: JVG hosts a high-school startup competition.
Participation: Invitation Only | See Professor Andy Travers
Wednesday - Fireside Chat: Loving Leadership - A Conversation with VL’s Director
Date and Time: Wednesday, February 14th, 3:30 PM | Location: Venture Lab
Details: A casual event for sharing experiences and insights about entrepreneurship.
Participation: Open to participants of entrepreneurship week.
Thursday - RUBusiness 1st Annual Speed Networking Event
Date and Time: Thursday, February 15th, 12:30 PM | Location: KH340
Details: Hosted by the Venture Lab and Classes from the Management and Marketing Departments his event provides a platform for business students to build professional networks.
Truist IdeaFest Poster Event
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, March 26th, Midnight
Poster Display Dates: Monday, April 8th – Friday, April 12th | Location: Kyle Hall 1st & 2nd Floor
Details: This is an opportunity for students to showcase their entrepreneurial ideas and get feedback.
Participation: Faculty are encouraged to make participation mandatory or offer it as homework/extra credit. Students registered to participate in the Truist Innovation Challenge can participate in IdeaFest.
Truist Innovation Challenge Final Pitch (INNO24)
Date and Time: Friday, April 19th, 2pm-4pm | Location: KH340
Details: Students present entrepreneurial solutions and compete for $10,000 in prizes.
Participation: Students can register via the provided form. Faculty to encourage attendance and support. Prize money of $10,000 is split evenly across tracks. Join us as we celebrate the spirit of entrepreneurship and the bright future of Radford University. This event is open to all students, faculty, alumni, business, government, and community leaders.
