Here are the top pieces of advice that Adam shared with the students.

  • Partnering with the right people is really important, can you speak on that a little?

Finding the right partners that have a different skill-set than you goes a long way. Go out and find the missing pieces. Ask yourself: What's something I struggle with or hate doing? And find someone to fill that role.

  • How has being an entrepreneur affected your personal life?

My identity was an athlete, but when the time came for me to change paths, between athlete and entrepreneur, I didn’t have an identity. Being an entrepreneur gave me a purpose. Even though everyone thought I was a washed up jock, being an entrepreneur gave me a level of interest and happiness I didn't have. Find that thing that challenges you.

  • What are your top three tips for becoming a successful entrepreneur?

Fall in love with failure. Don’t hide from technology or social media; it’s not going anywhere. Learn to leverage it to make the world a better place and do cool things. Learn how finance can benefit you. The odds of success compared to the cost of failure, for you right now, the odds are forever in your favor.

  • Being able to identify weaknesses and overcome them?

The more we can leverage things to get our time back, the more time we will have to do special things. I have a reading comprehension problem, so instead of reading, I listen to podcasts and watch videos.
