Fireside Chats

Faculty, Administration, and Guests,

Venture Lab is launching a “Fireside Chat” speaker series in early Feb 2023.  These casual, naturally flowing conversations between the listener and the speaker allow students the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions, which create a closer connection between the speaker and the student.   We will incorporate technology to increase student engagement.  Best of all, hot chocolate will be provided for all attendees.  

  • Instructor Facilitated Chats - Do you have guest speakers already scheduled to speak to your class?  Let us host those speaking engagements in the Venture Lab for a cooler and cozier environment.  We are happy to coordinate the treats and tech, take photos, blog, and capture videos when possible.  There is no limit to the number of fireside chats faculty can reserve.  We simply ask that you fill out the forms to ensure the space is reserved.  Book your fireside chats this semester by filling out this form.  All business-related topics are welcome!

  • Venture Lab Facilitated Chats - We will schedule entrepreneurs and business leaders (often alumni) and count on your support to inform the students.  Feel free to bring your entire class, create a class assignment, provide students extra credit, and/or feel free to attend events yourself.  If you plan to bring an entire class, please let me know via email.  These events will be largely open to all students.  Mark your calendars for this first date!
